ABOUT ME

My name is Abby Esposito...

I am a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in History. I received my masters degree in curriculum and instruction from UConn as well in 2015.

I LOVE learning about history, and having the opporunity to teach it makes it that much better. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing basketball, watching all kinds of sports, especially hockey. I am a HUGE Philadelphia Flyers fan, and I am sure that will be more than obvious. I enjoy traveling anywhere I can. Every year, I attend the NCAA Women's Final Four. Not only do I get to watch amazing basketball, but I constantly get to see new places throughout the country!

Outside of the U.S., I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe to tour World War II and Holocaust sites in London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Although it was only two weeks, the memories of that trip will last a lifetime. Especially as a lifelong learner, I value any chances I get to travel and learn about new places, people, and cultures. I urge you to take advantage of the same!

I LOVE film and watching movies. I consider myself a part-time movie critic, and I am sure you will have your fill of my constant references to classics, quotes, and my Oscar predictions for the year. I apologize in advance (not).

Essentially, teaching is my passion, and it is my goal to establish a classroom that ensures the development of a community of learners who are engaged, collaborative, and immersed in critical thought.
